Add a test for abbreviated month names. They should not be longer than the full name.

So the full name "May" should not be "May." for the abbreviation. This can cause a problem with date parsing so that the trailing period isn't properly parsed.

I don't think this is the right action; for uniformity there may be cases where the abbreviated happens to be longer. I think the correct action is to always parse both the long, abbreviated, and narrow names (month and day), and take the longest.
